Truer words have never been spoken. Sometimes, each and every one of us needs out own hero, somebody to look up to, whether it be a hero who physically saves people or every day, or someone who saves our soul from the brink of darkness. The former heroes, the physical ones, the ones who pull babies out of fires and rescue drowning bikini models, there the ones that get all the credit, all the praise, all the glory. I could care less about these heroes.
The heroes who truly inspire me are the ones who's great feats of figurative strength and speed are not written about in books or shown in movies. These heroes stories go unsung around the campfire, and eventually become lost in history.
I press you to think about people like this that go unnoticed in your life, the people you do not notice and kick to the curb. Think about the doctor who works all night saving the lives of people who have been injured by various types of gang related violence. Think of the grade 2 teacher who just wants to give you the chance to be happy and successful in life. People like this are around you ever day, they don't ask for our want thanks, and that is why they truly deserve it.
